The trips are organized and lead by Wendy Grethen.
Wendy has organized numerous events in Duluth ranging from over 50 local art & gift fairs to over 15 Dulcimer music festivals to dozens of community ed classes, some with a travel emphasis. She also taught college biology for about 15 years and put together many field trips. She enjoys presenting to groups on travel (New Zealand, volunteering in Nepal), local history (Early Days of the West End, Early Days of Lakeside, Early Days of Minnesota Point, and is currently researching Gary New Duluth's early days), and to provide music on the hammered and mountain dulcimers.
Wendy is branching out into leading trips in the Northland to arts, music, history and nature places and events. Wendy has greatly enjoyed traveling and has been to all 50 states and done a fair amount of travel abroad. She believes travel enriches our lives. These Northland trips will add to your experience of the season and the place we call home.
